Omg yes! Loved it. We sat on the terrace on a warm evening, which was so, so nice. Our server was really awesome. The food was exceptional. The Cavatelli Allo Scoglio was to die for. I'd give three thumbs up if I had them
Food is very good but it just too noisy. I have had to he onion tart, the tagstelle and orata. All were very good but the noise is just unbearable. Maybe if there is a next time I will eat on the patio.
What a hidden Gem on Billionaires Row. A bit hard to find from the street as all GPS will drop you in front The Eugene Hotel. Take the exterior stairs up one floor and turn right. This place is popular so a reservation is a must unless you are a single and up for bar seating. Danny Meyer does it again. I am sure the price point will elevate as the Yards fill up. Meanwhile grab the opportunity to experience a well executed tight Italian Menu with an outstanding wine list. Front of house is friendly and well versed on the menu and wine list. Culinary staff delivers well prepared dishes with robust flavor profiles that are presented cleanly.
The best meal I had in NYC during my recent visit. A reservation is highly recommended (not sure if a walk-in would even be seated?). Outstanding appetizers, pasta dishes, meat forward, and vegetarian options on the menu. Wine selection (by the glass or bottle) was phenomenal! Service was great (our server was attentive and willing to share his opinion on our choices). As with many sit down, reservation restaurants in NYC - the prices were to be expected, but on the higher end. I would definitely return to Ci Siamo on a return visit.
Very good! Love the ambiance and the interior is very sleek. Do recommend getting the caramelized onion tarte as everyone says, we split it for two people and it was pretty heavy though. The stuffed gnocchi is good but very very cheesy and nothing special IMO, a pocket of cheese is good no matter where you go. Would eat here again the food is just so rich but maybe that was more my fault than the restaurant's
I really enjoyed my dinner here! I like the open kitchen concept a lot. Onion tort: 11/10 This was delicious! It was so unique, a flakey pastry filled with caramelized onions and cheese. Yes, it tasted as good as it sounds! Very heavy. Good to split 1/2 or even 1/4. Rigatoni: 9/10 This rigatoni was really good. I loved the crispy bits with the pancetta. It is super heavy though. With the tort, it was a lot of cheese. Noodles were well cooked. Tagliatelle: 8.5/10 Noodles were good and the tomato sauce was perfectly sour and sweet. It was a nice cut from all the cheesy items that were eaten. Very well puréed and very strong tomato taste.
I really enjoyed this restaurant. I love the open kitchen plan. I only wish I got to sit closer to the action. The restaurant is very large and perfect for big groups. It also looks like they have a outside seating area, which would be perfect for the summer. The rundown - Onion tarte - I would recommend this. It was nice to sample new flavors with this appetizer. Focaccia bread - Who doesn't love bread? If you like bread, you can't go wrong with this. Although it is a little oily. The tomato conserva that it comes with is also something unique to experience. Stracci - Rabbit with parm and white wine sauce. I liked the fresh ribbon pasta. However, it loses its al dente finish quite quickly, so eat it while it is hot. Cavetelli with Crab - This is a little spicier than I thought it would be. The pasta was cooked perfectly and satisfyingly chewy. Ribeye - The mushrooms hit the nail on the head with umami flavor. Steak was cooked perfectly as expected. Scallop tartare - this could have been a skip for me. If you have eaten scallop sashimi before, this will not be something new. Negroni - divine Espresso gelato - great way to finish a delicious meal I really enjoyed the unique flavors and the innovation here. Our server was very pleasant and nice. I would definitely return!
Came here for my birthday dinner last night and we had the most incredible experience. It was our first time dining at Ci Siamo and we were blown away by the food, drinks, service and overall ambiance. Our server Jonathan was an absolute delight and made great recommendations for food. The Som, Devin, was so insanely knowledgable and went above and beyond to take care of us throughout the night. The two of them (along with the rest of the staff we chatted with, shoutout Sara!) really made our dinner special and our experience here unforgettable. 10/10 - we will 100% be back and hope to have the privilege of dining with Jonathan and Devin again! PS - the complimentary wine in the elevator is such a nice touch that really starts your experience off right.
**Tied for first place with the best pasta I've ever eaten in my life. The flavors are fresh, brilliantly paired, savory to the core and very rich, just excellent. Such a GEM The crab cavatelli allo scoglio was the most incredibly desirable flavors for my palette it was out of this world. This is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had in my life. The Rigatoni is ridiculously rich and incredible. The focaccia was alright but not on the same level of spectacular as the pasta- I wish we would've dined in a large group and ordered one of everything. Cannot wait to be back in NYC to eat the entire menu! Service was wonderful Ambiance is romantic and quiet for great conversation.
